Open Call For Lecturers: Department of Chemistry


Applications are invited for possible temporary Lecturer positions beginning Fall Quarter 2016. Applicants must have demonstrated experience in teaching or show a strong promise in teaching. The positions are open to applicants from all Chemistry areas. Candidates are preferred to have a PhD in Chemistry.

Fall Quarter 2016 applications will be reviewed beginning September 30, 2016. Winter Quarter 2017 applications will be reviewed beginning October 23, 2016 and ending December 23, 2016. Spring Quarter 2017 applications will be reviewed January 18, 2017 and ending February 18, 2017.

Academic Coordinator – X-­‐Ray Crystallographer – University of California, Riverside


The Analytical Chemistry Instrumentation Facility (ACIF) invites applications for a career level Academic Coordinator position in Small Molecule X-­‐Ray Crystallography. This career level, Academic Coordinator position will have the responsibility for the supervision, maintenance and operation of the X-­‐ Ray Crystallography Resources within the Facility. The Academic Coordinator will provide leadership and oversee the day-­‐to-­‐day operations of the X-­‐Ray Facility. The Academic Coordinator must be an expert in the field of X-­‐Ray Crystallography, with working knowledge of hardware and software for structure determination, various crystallization procedures, and maintain current awareness of the most recent advances in the field of X-­‐Ray Crystallography and its applications. It is the duty of the Academic Coordinator to ensure the smooth operations of all aspects of the Facility to ensure high quality, timely, and affordable analyses for all researchers.

A PhD in chemistry and demonstrated excellence in teaching and laboratory management is required.
