UCR Chemistry is ranked 47th in the Academic Rankings of World Universities for 2014. This result is an improvement from the 51-75 ranking from 2012 & 2013. ARWU uses six indicators, including - the number of highly cited researchers, and per capita performance. More than 1200 universities are ranked by ARWU every year.
