Dr. Jonathan Ashby, a graduate of Dr. Wenwan Zhong's research group, has received the 2015 Ford Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship, a highly selective fellowship administered by the National Research Council (NRC). The awarded individuals must have demonstrated superior academic achievement, be committed to a career in teaching and research at the college or university level, shown a sustained commitment to diversity in education, and shown promise of future achievement as scholars and teachers. Jonathan received his Ph.D. in 2014 and is currently working as a postdoc under the supervision of Dr. Sheila David in the Department of Chemistry, UC Davis, as an NIH T32 fellow in Oncogenic Signals and Chromosome Biology.
